Architecture
Ontek IoT has a simple architecture wherein, the Ontek IoT controllers communicate with various machines, devices, PLCs, Control Panels, and other smart devices using Modbus protocol or Bacnet gateway and push that data to a central server. Ther are two servers for redundency and two controllers for link load balancing. The user can access these servers usinga virtual IP address. Database in both servers are synced together to minimise dataloss due to failure of primary server. Ontek IoT controllers push data to the primary server. they are designed so that they push data to the secondary server incase the primary server fails. The servers can be set up either locally, behind a firewall, or on the cloud. Ontek IoT has a monitoring and control station which is used to operate the application layer. However, the application layer can be accessed from anywhere in the network or through vpn outside the network from any laptop. The application access is compartmentalised based on user authorization. The application is easy to use and reports can be viewed and downloaded in csv or pdf format for later use. Ontek IoT uses an escalation model based on SLA to escalate faults and other configured flags to various stake holders.
